The Colonial Sofa is the two-seated younger sibling to Ole Wanscher’s original masterpiece, the Colonial Chair. Introduced in 1964, 15 years after the chair, the Colonial Sofa is based on the same core design as the armchair and clearly reflects Wanscher’s penchant for the delicate and refined. The Colonial Sofa also demonstrates the designer’s fascination with furniture from 18th century England and bygone colonial times. A beautiful and well crafted sofa with a simple and refined expression, the Colonial Sofa is very stable and has an outstanding finish.
